Hello! My name is Orfirah and I am the founder of Route to Bloom.
After working for FMCG companies like Unilever, Nestlé and Danone, my drive to make a real difference to our food system made me decide to start working for food and beverage companies that are led by a strong mission and want to make a positive impact in every step of the value chain.
Working for an NGO that investigates impact on health, environment and animal welfare - specifically on a product level - shifted my perspective on the impact of what we buy and consume in a radical way. Since then I’ve been working for start-ups and scale ups who are the pioneers of their category, to develop their commercial strategies and grow their sales.
Throughout my professional career in the food industry, I have led countless successful sales meetings with (international) customers at online- and offline retailers, wholesalers, caterers, restaurants and food producers. For categories varying from coffee, tea, chocolate, meals, ice cream, baby food, pet food and innovative vegetarian and vegan products.
I know what it is like to successfully pitch a brand backed up with all the resources you would wish for. Also, what it is like to successfully pitch and plan without all these ‘luxuries’. Entering new territories time after time has taught me to rapidly identify the essential elements of problems that impact-driven companies face, the solutions that they want, and how to strategically take action to get the desired results.
